Each student in the ABEL class is provided with individualized programming for English Language Arts.  We use the BC English Language Arts curriculum; students are working on Grade 8 and Grade 9 outcomes, with accommodations and modifications for literacy levels.

Basic spelling and grammar is part of the programming for many of our students in addition to: listening, viewing, reading comprehension, fluency, responding to reading, writing traits and the application of analytical reading skills.
