Assignment #1: Music Video Analysis
As media consumers, it is important that we are capable of critically examining new media. This assignment requires you to become critical listeners and viewers while analyzing a music video. You will analyze the symbols, cultural content, aesthetics and artist intent of a video by an Indigenous recording artist / group.
Assignment #2: Song Analysis
When we read between the lines of text, we are inferring. When we infer we are looking for the deeper meaning in a piece of writing. Choose a song you really love to listen to. Analyze the song lyrics for the deeper meaning of the song, then add your personal connection or meaning to your reflection.
